NASHVILLE, Tenn. (July 1, 2008) - With her first venture into producing, Cindy Morgan has recently released her latest, self produced and self distributed offering, Beautiful Bird, exclusively on digital format, available at www.cindymorganmusic.com and at iTunes. ChristianMusicToday.com calls her brand new album Beautiful Bird, “hands down, the best album of Cindy Morgan's career, offering her strongest, most consistent batch of songs while continuing to demonstrate an ear for solid pop craftsmanship.”

Beautiful Bird returns Morgan to her Appalachian roots and is a mix of diverse musical styles which Morgan has been a fan of throughout her life. The project contains a mix of Pop, Appalachia, Country, and Symphonic styles and is receiving some of the strongest reviews of her career.

In her own words Morgan says," I can’t choose the cello over the doboro so I wanted to make a record where they could live together. I am also a great admirer and pursuer of the art of writing a great country song. A lot of the lyrics are from that approach."

Morgan explains her choice to self-produce, stating, “I have produced my own demos for years and have spent the better part of my adult life in a studio, but until now, I hadn’t felt completely ready for such a task. I have been so fortunate to work with so many great producers over the years,” continued Morgan. “For the last couple of years, there has been a strong sense in my heart to step out and stand on my own two creative feet. So that is what I decided to do. I headed up the production of this record, but certainly not without a lot of help on the technical side of things from my engineer and co-producer Stephen Leiweke (Jars Of Clay, Margaret Becker, Kids In The Way).”

Morgan made the choice to release Beautiful Bird exclusively in digital format through her website (cindymorganmusic.com) and iTunes as well as other hand picked online outlets. “The wonderful thing about doing a record like this is that you throw the rule book out the window… it really leaves the creative spirit free to let each song and the record as a whole be what it is without boundaries that often squash the creative process,” she says.

With an exclusive partnership through GodTube, promotions have already started generating a buzz with listeners and fans across the country. Fans can view the debut video for “Beautiful Bird” at http://www.godtube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=05c43c4a45097cde5c07.

Available since June 19, 2008, fans can also visit cindymorganmusic.com for a FREE limited-time download of the demo for “How You Live” (Turn Up the Music). This exclusive DEMO Version of "How You Live" (Turn Up The Music) is the original song, recorded by Point Of Grace. Written and now recorded here by Morgan, in the version which has never been heard outside the studio prior to now.

A songwriter's songwriter, Morgan has garnered eighteen number one hits in her astounding musical journey that include “Listen,” “Praise the King,” “Take My Life” and “I Know You” as well as Point of Grace’s recent hit “How You Live.” Morgan has also garnered several Dove Awards and Billboard Music Video Award nominations throughout her career. Her songs have been recorded by artists such as Michael W. Smith, Point Of Grace, Avalon, Rachael Lampa, Brit Nicole, Mandisa, The Martins, Michael English, BeBe Winans, Sandi Patty, Jaci Velasquez, Mark Schultz, John Tesh and Natalie Grant.

Adding to her career highlights, Morgan recently took home two Dove Awards this year at the 39th Annual GMA Dove Awards (www.doveawards.com) for Country Recorded Song of the Year (“How You Live”) recorded by Point of Grace, as well as the highest award that a Christian songwriter can receive, Songwriter of the Year.
